Resonance

Three basins filled with water form Resonance, an interactive installation that explores the subtle beauty of sound and water. As you approach the basins, they come to life with gentle sounds and vibrations, creating intricate patterns on the water’s surface. Walk around the basins, change your perspective, and discover how the sounds and patterns shift and evolve.

Resonance is inspired by the theme of connection, one of three themes we explore in the Hear Here exhibition, along with counter-sound and sharing. These themes are drawn from the context and history of the Eusebius Church, a place where people have gathered for centuries to experience a sense of community and connection with something larger than themselves. Resonance invites you to contemplate your influence on the world around you. Your presence, however small, influences the larger whole, just as the ripples in the water create intricate patterns that spread through the basins.
